Communities and Local Government Working Together: A Resource Manual of Strategies

This manual is designed to assist local government and healthy community groups in working more effectively together. The Healthy Communities approach recognizes the key role of local government in creating healthy communities. The initiatives are Ontario-wide, and represent processes launched by various municipalities as well as community driven projects.
It has two components - explaining the role and functions of local government in simple, easy-to-read language; and describing various municipal-community initiatives, with the aim of developing strategies leading to innovative partnerships.
