On June 16 and 17, 2016 OHCC Consultant Lisa Tolentino participated in the Embracing Inclusion Learning Institute held in Barrie. The session was aimed at helping nonprofit organizations advance equity, diversity and inclusion. It brought representatives from committed organizations together to develop strategies, gain tools and identify resources to advance diversity and inclusion within their organizations. OHCC’s Inclusive Community Organizations: A Tool Kit was listed among the resources being promoted as worthwhile tools that are available to assist organizations in undertaking equitable and inclusive organizational change. An electronic version is downloadable for free, or a hard copy is available for a nominal fee. Engaging over 80 nonprofit community service organizations from across Ontario, the project as a whole and this particular learning institute provide great networking opportunities for participating organizations.
