This webinar will increase your knowledge of the ‘healthy community’ concept worldwide and its relationship to the Ministry of Health Promotion’s Healthy Communities Ontario framework and approach, as they relate to chronic disease prevention. Elements to be covered in the webinar are:

•  History of Healthy Community (HC) principles and approach
• Relationship to MHP’s Healthy Communities Ontario 
• Why the HC concept is effective for chronic disease prevention (CDP)
• Examples of how the HC approach is currently being used within the province for CDP
• Oppotunities for participant sharing of experiences
