One component of our Healthy Community and the Built Environment project is a literature review which was conducted by Civics Research Cooperative. It has been divided into several files.

The first four files are in PDF format. The report,“Linking health and the built environment: An annotated bibliography of Canadian and other related research”, describes the methodology used and discusses various themes that emerged from the search. Appendix 1 contains listings of Canadian literature, which was the main focus of the review, along with abstracts and other pertinent information. The other two appendices contain non-Canadian listings and are less detailed.

In addition, there is an MS Access (2002) database and MS Excel files, which contain the complete list of references and their associated information.

The ReadMe file primarily contains basic information and instructions for use of the database and assumes little familiarity with Access.
