Strategic Planning for Healthy Communities Strategic Planning for Healthy Communities

In order to be effective in its work, an organization must first decide what it wants to accomplish and then determine how it will get there. This workshop will provide you with the five key components required to design an effective strategic plan  to accomplish your goals:

1. Mission (what the organization hopes to accomplish)
2. Strategic Analysis: Various analytical techniques may be used in a strategic planning workshop, such as a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats), analysis, a PEEST (Political. Economic. Environmental, Social and Technological) analysis,or Appreciative Inquiry.
3. Strategic Directions: How is the organization going to achieve its mission?
4. Action Plan: What will be done, by whom, when and with what resources?
5. Evaluation: How will you know when progress is being made or when you have succeeded?
