Strategies for Effective Proposal Writing Workshop

Many not-for-profit organizations struggle with planning and preparing proposals. This workshop will assist both the novice and expert writer prepare winning proposals. The workshop is based on a six-step proposal development framework created by Ontario Healthy Communities Coalition (OHCC) and The Health Communication Unit (THCU):

1. Developing (or Revisiting) Your Program Plan
2. Seeking Funding
3. Managing the Proposal Development Process
4. Developing Your Proposal
5. Producing and Packaging Your Proposal
6. Submitting and Following-up.

At the completion of a one-day workshop, participants should be able to prepare persuasive proposals that reflect what funders expect and the current funding environment, and to identify additional resources they can access for further support.
