OHCC staff can provide on-site, customized consultations and workshops to community groups, organizations, coalitions and networks who are working on Healthy Community initiatives. Consultations are essentially a problem-solving process that may be undertaken with a lead member of the organization, with a group or a multi-organizational coalition or network. A continuum of service is available, from providing advice over the phone to a longer-term series of sessions which may involve community consultation, stakeholder engagement, project development or facilitating community meetings. Workshops are available in full day sessions for 10 or more participants, and are tailored to meet the needs of each group.
Our services are designed to bring together theory, evidence-based research and hands-on skill development in a highly interactive format. Participants will develop insights, skills and confidence to help them be effect postive changes in their communities.
